Song reaches #2 In ECMA Chart

"You're Why God Made Me" has climbed one spot up to #2 in the ECMA Chart. In addition to this the song also entered the Spanish airplay chart at #8.
NEW SINGLE OUT IN JANUARY

Two new entries in Germany Airplay Chart

Robert has two new entries in Germany's Country Music Airplay Chart. The duet with Philomena Begley entitled "You're Waltzing With Me" has entered at #19, and "You're Why God Made Me" has entered at #35. This continues to build on Robert's previous chart successes in Europe.

Robert is enjoying more chart success with his hit single "You're Why God Made Me". The single has reached #3 in the ECMA Chart after only three weeks. It has also reached #1 in both The Czech Republic and Denmark country airplay charts.

"You're Why God Made Me" climbs to No21 in CMA Country Chart

After entering the European CMA Chart last week, "You're Why God Made Me" has climbed from #86 to #21.
It is #1 in The Swedish Chart for the 2nd week running. It is #4 in Germany and the UK as well as entering the Belgian Chart at #2, and the Austrian Chart at #3.
"You're Why God Made Me" reaches No1 in 3 European Countries

We are delighted to report that as of 16th November, Robert's Single "You're Why God Made Me" has reached #1 in three European Countries (The Netherlands, Sweden and the Czech Republic), as well as reaching #3 in the UK and #10 in Denmark. It was also the second most played song in the ECMA playlist. The single entered the official ECMA chart this week at No86.
This is the second time Robert has had chart success in Europe following on from his previous single "Don't Wake Me Up ('Till We Touch Down In Shannon)".

The Country Kings celebrate 8 years on the road

This month The Country Kings have been on the road 8 years. At a recent gig in Times Hotel, Tipperary Town, our good friend Phyllis presented Robert and The Country Kings with a cake, complete with Robert's picture on.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank Phyllis for her cake and all the thoughtful gift's over the years. Also to all of our other fans who have supported us over the years, we hope we continue to entertain you through our dances and our musical recordings.
Promotional Single "Friend In Need" Released

The eagerly anticipated promotional single entitled "A Friend In Need" has been released in Ireland this week.
This compelling single is the first to be taken from Robert’s forthcoming album due out later this year. "A Friend In Need" and subsequently, the album from which it is taken, will delight his growing core of fans.

Robert is back in the studio continuing work on his new album this week. He expects to release a new single in the near future with the album to follow after that. More news as we get it.....
Billy Condon Debut

Robert and The Country Kings played to a packed house in Biddy Friels, Drumoghil, Donegal last night. Billy fitted so comfortably into the band you wouldn't have thought that it was his first night.
There were lots of regular faces and we made some new friends also. We look forward to playing in Drumoghil again in the near future.
New Band Member Announced - Billy Condon

Robert and The Country Kings are delighted to welcome fiddle player Billy Condon to the band. No stranger to the stage, Billy previously played with (amongst others) Ray Lynam and the Hillbilly's, Daniel O'Donnell, and more recently, Jimmy Buckley.
Robert Returns From Mediterranean Cruise

Robert spent 7 days on the MS Westerdam along with his band and had an opportunity to meet fans from all over the world. We also met some of our MySpace friends, Gill and Pat to name a few.
Robert and the Band performed on certain nights and enjoyed the rest of the time off. When Robert wasn't performing he enjoyed listening to other singers on the cruise like Jimmy Buckley, Mike Denver, John McNicholl, Michael English, Colm & Barry Kirwan and too many more to mention.
It was a highly successful week, and we would like to thank and congratulate Gertrude Byrnes in particular for making the event so successful.
There shall be pictures from the cruise appearing in my gallery shortly.

Robert play's London Irish Festival

Robert and his band enjoyed playing The London Irish Festival which was back after a 10 year absence. Robert's Band (The Country Kings) backed some of the artists on the Main Stage after which Robert took to the stage and bought the Festival to a climatic close.
Robert got to meet lot's of his fan's based in the UK. It was a great one day event attended by thousands of people and we hope the festival will return to an annual event.
The Benn Sisters fill in for a weekend
22th August 2007
Due to a family illness, Robert had to suddenly fly to America. The Benn Sisters (Carrie & Leanne) gave up their time off to fill in for Robert over last weekend. A good time was had by all. Robert is now back in Ireland and looking forward to his forthcoming tour dates.
